SPM Reference

Speed, Precision and Musicality, qualities Nordost embodies in its design philosophy throughout the Flatline Cable range, rise to a new level with the introduction of our SPM Reference cables. SPM transmits signals at over 95% the speed of light, allowing you to hear precisely the starts and stops in a musical performance.

SPM loudspeaker cable consists of 32 conductors in four groups of eight. Normally terminated as a bi-wire cable, it can be ordered from the factory as a "shotgunned" or non bi-wire cable, or as a tri-wired cable.

Each conductor is made from an optimized diameter of solid 99.999999% Oxygen Free Copper with a special extruded, high purity silver surface. Each conductor is encapsulated with 5mm of Teflon using our Class 1 slow extrusion process, derived from our patented extruded Teflon construction. The tolerances and spacing of the conductors are the tightest in the industry, which result in extremely low capacitance, low inductance and low signal loss, and the elimination of reflections and the reduction of standing waves within the cable.

Each speaker cable is terminated with low mass, gold plated, Beryllium copper 4mm Z Plugs . This low mass design has a minimal effect on capacitance and inductance and should be used, if possible, with your equipment. Gold and silver plated OFC Spade Connectors can also be ordered from our factory. We highly recommend the use of SPM interconnects in conjunction with the SPM loudspeaker cables to achieve a total musical synergy.

SPM Reference interconnects consist of 16 solid 99.999999% Oxygen free Copper with a high purity extruded silver surface. By using optimized diameter conductors, skin depths are minimised, all frequencies are travelling at over 1.20 nano seconds, which results in the elimination of phase distortions when the signal arrives at the loudspeakers. Each interconnect is hand built and is available with our superb quality Moonglo RCA connectors or as a balanced XLR cable with gold plated XLR connectors. All SPM Reference cables are presented in individual hand crafted velvet lined wooden gift boxes. Each cable carries a lifetime warranty.
