El Dorado

The Nordost El Dorado power cable is a new high performance power cable developed by Nordost. The El Dorado improves amplifier and front-end component performance, offering a more detailed musical performance with a lower noise floor.
The cable consists of 10 silver plated oxygen free copper conductors. The power carrying conductors are suspended in a monofilament design, which improves power transmission characteristics. The conductors are wound in twisted pair configurations and bonded with a proprietary Teflon extrusion process. In addition the positive and negative conductors are isolated from each other by a dual layer of shielding. A PVC jacket is then extruded outside the shield. This increases the mechanical stability of the cable. The positive and negative conductors are configured in a twisted construction for addition shielding and noise rejection.

Each El Dorado is hand built with high quality IEC connectors and AC/Mains plugs. The El Dorado is available in minimum lengths of 2 meters and in longer 1-meter increments. It can be ordered with the appropriate AC/mains plugs for most countries.
